Which audio format should I choose?

MP3 plays everywhere. 320 kbps is the highest MP3 quality; 128 kbps is fine for speech and podcasts. M4A is YouTube’s own AAC audio, saved without re-encoding, so it keeps the original quality in a small file. OPUS is the most efficient modern codec. WAV and FLAC are lossless containers, useful when you want to edit the audio.

MP3, M4A and FLAC files include the video title, the channel name and the thumbnail as cover art, so they look right in your music player.

Frequently asked questions

Is 320 kbps better than the original?

No converter can add quality that isn’t in the source. YouTube audio is around 128–160 kbps AAC or OPUS; 320 kbps MP3 preserves it with the fewest compression losses.

How long can the video be?

Audio conversions support long videos such as podcasts and mixes, up to the limit shown on the page if one applies.

Does it work with YouTube Music?

Yes. Paste music.youtube.com links the same way.

Can I convert other sites to MP3?

Yes — every supported site can be converted to MP3 on the Audio tab.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free and no sign-up is needed.

Where are downloaded YouTube videos saved?

In your browser’s Downloads folder. On iPhone, open the Files app → Downloads. On Android, check the Downloads or Gallery app.
